    University Holds Inaugural National Security Research and Innovation Day

    More than 180 industry partners, national agency representatives, and UMN researchers gathered to discuss UMN’s current and potential role within national security. Participants discussed topics ranging from Artificial Intelligence, to hypersonics, to the development of technologies for use in extreme environments. This event served to demonstrate the emerging role UMN and Minnesota businesses are playing in the sphere of research and innovations related to national security. Read more.

    Corporate engagement dinner brings together UMN and industry leaders

    The University of Minnesota’s Corporate Engagement Center (CEC) hosted its inaugural CEC Dinner on December 5th, 2024. Over 140 corporate, industry, and University leaders gathered to focus on innovation and how to keep Minnesota economically competitive with other parts of the country. A diverse panel of leaders discussed forthcoming recommendations for improving Minnesota’s innovation ecosystem. Read more.

    UMN collaboration with Medtronic to tackle healthcare challenges

    University of Minnesota and Medtronic have signed a new strategic collaboration aimed at building an even more deliberate and productive relationship between the two organizations. The Medtronic – University of Minnesota partnership seeks to draw on both organizations’ strengths to address meaningful and difficult healthcare challenges, and rapidly advance discoveries from the lab to demonstrate innovations that are life saving and contribute to people’s health around the globe.
