Polaris invests in 4-H Youth Development

Polaris has announced a $1 million donation to support expansion of the 4-H ATV and UTV Safety Program, part of University of Minnesota Extension 4-H Youth Development. “This generous support from Polaris will significantly expand our safety education efforts and allow us to bring our increasingly popular 4-H Outdoor Education program to new audiences,” says Jennifer Skuza, associate dean, University of Minnesota Extension, and Minnesota 4-H director.

UMN collaboration with Medtronic to tackle healthcare challenges

University of Minnesota and Medtronic have signed a new strategic collaboration aimed at building an even more deliberate and productive relationship between the two organizations. The Medtronic – University of Minnesota partnership seeks to draw on both organizations’ strengths to address meaningful and difficult healthcare challenges, and rapidly advance discoveries from the lab to demonstrate innovations that are life saving and contribute to people’s health around the globe.

Industry partner opens facility at UMD

The Natural Resources Research Institute at the University of Minnesota Duluth has opened its first onsite facility partnership with industry. In June, NRRI (NRRI) and Louisiana Pacific (LP) celebrated the grand opening of the Louisiana Pacific Innovation Center, which will be a showroom for LP Building Solutions’ latest products, as well as a place where representatives of building companies, large and small, can come to work with LP materials.
